Description of the Opportunity
Applications for Cohort 4 of the 2025 Aspire Leaders Program are open now. The Aspire Leaders Program welcomes limited-income and first-generation university students and recent graduates from around the world to join a free online interactive leadership development journey that is manageable along your other commitments.
This includes joining a global community, personal and professional development workshops, an exclusive course designed and delivered by Harvard faculty, and Masterclasses led by educators from universities worldwide. After finishing the 9-week program, you gain access to continued networking, mentorship, and the opportunity to apply for seed funds and grants.
Aspire Institute is an independent non-profit organization that facilitates the Aspire Leaders Program. The program, previously called the Crossroads Emerging Leaders Program, was founded at Harvard University in 2017 by Harvard Business School professors. In 2021, it spun out of Harvard University to become Aspire Institute.
Benefits
- This program is 100% free. There are no costs associated with applying or going through the program.
- Certificates are awarded upon completion of key elements of the program.
- After completion, Aspire Institute empowers alumni to continue their leadership development through seed funds, workshops, and a vibrant global network of peers and mentors.
The Aspire Leaders Program Journey
- Module 1 (3 Weeks): Personal and Professional Development
- Module 2 (5 Weeks): Aspire Horizons Course
- Masterclasses — Offered Throughout the Program: Synchronous sessions led by world-class educators from universities around the world.
- Extended Leadership Programs: Alumni gain access to a vibrant community of young leaders, mentors, and funding opportunities.
Eligibility
All applicants must meet the following criteria:
- 18-29 years old
- Limited-income background or first-generation to attend university
- Currently enrolled in an undergraduate program or recently graduated; not a postgraduate student or graduate of a postgraduate program
